2. The Hampton Inn on Chestnut Expressway is a great place to stay for the money. They have a reputation of having a friendly staff. The property is also well kept up and clean. The hotel is located right on the edge of Highway 65 and has restaurants in the parking lot.

3. The Holiday Inn Express is located right next to the beautiful Hammons Field. The field is where the Springfield Cardinals play. They are a AA minor league affiliate of St. Louis. The hotel has been said to have great beds, pillows and breakfast. They are also located very close to the square in Springfield.

4. The Residence Inn is a great extended stay property in Springfield. This would be the place to stay if you are hear on business. It has a good location with access to everything. The only problem is this hotel is a little far from the airport if you need to access it. I still think the location here is great though for shopping and eating.

5. Comfort Suites Medical district is great if you need to stay near one of Springfields hospitals. It is a newer property with a friendly staff and a nice facility.
