The player who captained the English national football team and went on to play for Real Madrid before heading to America was born David Robert Joseph Beckham on May 2nd 1975. He was talent scouted by Manchester United and began playing for them whilst he was merely 17 years old.
Beckham played a vital function in Man U’s supremacy of the FA Premier League in the Nineties and Noughties. he was captain of the English National side for six years from 2000 to 2006, although he signed to play for Real Madrid in 2003.

All football teams appear to get a nickname, bestowed upon them affectionately by their loyal fans. Although in one very famous case – that of Manchester United – the nickname of The Red Devils was in fact invented by the club itself as a marketing ploy, copyrighted and eventually the Red Devil himself was included in the team’s coat of arms.

Over the past several years leading up to the World Cup, Spain never had a problem scoring goals. That wasn’t the case against the rough squad from Netherlands in the final game of the World Cup.
As the final minutes were ticking away, Spain did what they know how to do. They punished the Netherlands and avoided the luck of penalty shots. Both teams were tired and it didn’t help the Dutch that they went a man down.

David Beckham, the legend who has been representing England’s National Soccer Team for more than 10 years is being called upon by Coach Fabio Capello. Unfortunately, Beckham isn’t getting called to lead the team, but Capello wants to give him a chance to say goodbye.
Beckham recently became the leader for the most international soccer games played by any player in England’s history. He’s represented the soccer team in 115 games. This number would have been higher if he wasn’t hurt before the 2010 World Cup, which was upsetting for all supporters.

These days it is a major challenge to get youth focused on anything that is not electronic. While it is not all bad, the overwhelming presence of electronic entertainment means fewer children are getting outside and active. But if parents will provide kids soccer stuff so they have the tools they need, they will play.
In general, trying to get our youth excited about a sport that essentially asks them to run for 90 minutes seems like a losing battle. Amazingly, the natural energy our kids have suppressed can be easily coaxed out of them when there is a little organization and teamwork involved. If coaches are wiling to get on the field and run with them, the kids will respond in kind.
