But if parents will provide kids soccer stuff so they have the tools they need, they will play.

In general, trying to get our youth excited about a sport that essentially asks them to run for 90 minutes seems like a losing battle. Amazingly, the natural energy our kids have suppressed can be easily coaxed out of them when there is a little organization and teamwork involved. If coaches are wiling to get on the field and run with them, the kids will respond in kind.
