Like Bingin, Uluwatu is also for experienced surfers as the waves can go as high as fifteen feet, and prove dangerous for those unprepared or inexperienced. A similar wave height is to be expected at Nusa Dua, where this danger is coupled with the sharp reef bottom that can rip apart inexperienced surfers. The surf at Canggu Beach is also great, but it is a good idea to watch out for the undertow and jagged reef that can injure those who aren’t careful. Padang is another beach for experienced surfers, with huge swells and large barrels that are both great to watch and surf.

Bali is a great spot for some cheap surfing action, with tourists thronging here from all over the world. Be prepared to buy or rent equipment if you don’t already have it. You will be able to enjoy a cheap budget holiday here with the advantage of being able to experience different kinds of waves every day.
