Orlando Florida Vacation

by Chris Linch

Disneyland is a popular tourist attraction and one that opens every day. A visit can therefore be made at any time of the year, although some times are better than others. Consider avoiding busy times such as school and college holidays and long weekends, which can see large crowds visiting. It is preferable to visit at other times when the weather may be better and smaller crowds are in the park. This can make your day more enjoyable.

One factor to consider for your visit is the cost of hotels. Off-peak times provide the most affordale costs for a hotel, although during special events these costs can be raised, so check if any are being organized when you plan to go. Good times to visit are following Spring Break up to just before the Thanksgiving holiday. Then following Thanksgiving up to just prior to the Christmas holidays. Another good time is just before the school spring break holidays.

The worst seasons to visit Disney World because of the crowds include the Spring Break holiday. At this time huge crowds flock to the resort and traffic conditions can be difficult. You will also find yourself queuing for long periods of time to get on the rides. This is also the case during the summer and December holiday periods, as many tourists arrive at the resort.

Visiting Disney World during summer is not such a good idea as the oppressive heat and humidity can make your trip much less pleasant. The large Christmas period crowds can also make for a less pleasant visit. During the months of May and September the ‘love bug’ insect can also prove to be very annoying if you visit the resort. As such the best time to visit is definitely the off-season periods.

Florida has weather which can be unpredictable at times and rain can happen at any time when you visit. This is not a problem as there are many indoor activities that can be enjoyed if the weather is not good. These include Epcot and also Universal Studios and these can be visited during bad weather as the outdoor rides will generally be closed down during bad storms.

Florida can experience hurricanes during the hurricane season from June to November and some people will avoid visiting during this time. Whatever time you choose to visit try to arrive as early as possible as the queues get longer later in the day. Also get a layout map as this can be of great assistance in getting around the park and help to make your day a fantastic Disney adventure.
