Don’t even think about coaching soccer at any levels if you don’t have patience and an appreaciation of the basic fundamentals of the game. Unless you know the basics of soccer, how do you expect to teach them? If you have played the game this doesn’t guarantee you that you will inevitably become a good coach.
Kids soccer should never be about winning. The win-loss ratio has no significance in junior soccer apart from feeding your own ego. So never coach if you are looking to feed your ego. Kids soccer is all about fun and developing the young players.
If you decide to coach kids soccer make sure you have plenty of patience. Never utilize fear or intimidation to train your players. No young child should be subjected to abuse even on the soccer field. under no circumstance are you to yell or scream at your players. Treat all your players as if they were your own children and provide training that is both fun and educational.
Kids will react better to your training methods if you encourage them. Encourage them, praise them and give them a sense of worth. When your players feel worthy they will inevitably train harder and listen to you with the utmost respect. Through appreaciation you will be rewarded with a determined effort by your players.
All players are unique and have different playing capabilities. This does not mean you favour the skilled players and neglect the average players. All players must be treated the same and given every opportunity to develop their game. Playing time should be shared amongst the team evenly.
Do you think coaching kids soccer is easy. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s easy. Many coaches before you have pulled out their hair in frustration. Most people tend to forget that kids are not little adults. They do not understand the principles of discipline and are only motivated by fun. Most kids just want to run around with their new friends and enjoy the freedom of the soccer field.
Not all kids are looking to become full time professionals. So you need to understand the playing group and establish some team goals. If you are coaching a bunch of kids that are searching for that elusive full time contract, then it would be in the best interest of the team that training is taken serious and good habits are taught from the start.
Don’t forget to incorporate soccer drills in your training regime. Soccer drills are a great way to teach your players the basic skills of the game while allowing them to have fun at the same time. But remember to make the drills relevant to your playing group and age group. If players start to get bored or start to misbehave, chances are your drills are too advanced.

While I do have a few jerseys in my collection, but the vast majority of my riding tops are soccer jerseys that I picked up at Burlington Coat Factory for 10 bucks a pop. when you get a tattoo on your foot you SHOULD NOT wear shoes or socks at all for 14 days. that means no shoes or socks at all, AT ALL. if you do you run the risk of getting an infection as well as having your tattoo heal very poorly and look like crap. if you can't refrain from wearing shoes now then you really shouldn't get a tattoo on your foot. foot tattoos are harder to heal than other ones anyway and you really do have to take good care of them. i have seen plenty of horrible looking foot tattoos (on this forum) because people have not followed healing instructions. it's not worth it to get a tattoo that you're not going to properly care for.
