The La Trobe, for example, is on eleven acres of protected land. There are several historical buildings and related activities, like a twilight ghost tour and a spa.

Lake Sambell Caravan Park is for the truly outdoorsy who wish to experience nature without any frills. It is a lovely camp ground location on the edge of a lake with barbecue areas, an indoor kitchen facility, volley ball, and mini golf. There are cabins, areas for campers, and areas for tents. It is close enough to La Trobe to still participate in some of the historical activities there.
