well, if you want a hotel that gives all those stuff you're asking for,
    you'll need a lot more than 5k.
there's shangri-la hotel; ascott; dusit thani, etc.
if you want something cheaper, you'll have to check out the ones
    in the provinces..
    sorry. :(

Hey, Iowa may be a little cultural conservative in the small towns but Des Moines and Iowa City are pretty damn liberal!

In general though, Iowans are pretty laid back and don’t mess around in other people’s lives (although they will gossip about you all the time). They are generally friendly, polite, and wonderful people.

I miss living in Des Moines soooooo much. It was a great multicultural city with a very strong alt-culture scene. It has a great huge modern library, a brand new science museum, a fabulous medium sized zoo, an ape sanctuary, historical buildings, THE STATE FAIR OMG, great music, fantastic food and restaurants, historical hotels, best 4th of July fireworks I’ve ever seen, multiple really good art festivals, and just tons of great things to do and be a part of. I live in Minneapolis and I want to do is move back to Des Moines (I’m not even from there either!).

Thanks for prompting me to update my about page. I used the elevator pitch to make it punchier based on your advice that new readers will check out this page. I still need to work on my pitch itself. The blog is for the hospitality industry and I find the term ungainly and kind of undefined – I make need to make up a new word.
