If you still haven’t been out of the United States, you really should think about going. You can usually find packages of hotels and flights that will save you a bunch of money. Many countries have hotels that offer all inclusive stays which means your food and drink are included.

I just got back from Mexico not too long ago. You talk about fun, it is incredible to see how other cultures live. I got down to the market in the down town of the city I was staying in and negotiated prices on my souvenirs. I love the fact that their culture is so different from ours.

The food is another awesome thing to check out. To eat the food of another country in the country is so different from eating it at a restaurant here. I would say most of the “authentic” restaurants here still somewhat make the food to American’s tastes.

If you are outside the country make sure you pay attention to all the details. You would be amazed at what you notice when you pay attention to your surroundings in another country. I couldn’t believe the way people drove, when I was in my taxi on the way to the hotel, I swore the driver was going to kill us. After the ride it was fun, I was safe and I just realized they are different than us.

Even things like the smells are neat to experience. By paying attention you will notice new pleasant smells that you haven’t ever experienced before. The natural and man made landscape will also be things you have never seen before. If you can, you need to go on a trip out of the country!
