« Experience A Life of Royalty For A Night in Switzerland   So you think you’ve stayed at a bed and breakfast? »

by Tim Martins

Great news was my reaction when I heard that Cypriot government decided to incorporate the Euro as their trading currency, especially what it would mean for the Cyprus property market. Oddly enough though not everyone was so open to the new currency but the Cyprus property market has already benefited significantly since it’s introduction.

Prices are already rising healthily at around nine per cent a year, compared to five per cent the year before. A closer look at the Cypriot market shows that the rush to buy land before the 15 per cent VAT on land purchases kicks in on January 1 … plus low interest rates, the arrival of several budget airlines and a shortage of property for sale … have also helped to spur on property prices in southern Cyprus of late.

There is no doubt that such closes ties between the nations of Cyprus and the United Kingdom after the second world war that the Brits just love Cyprus as an all year round holiday destination. Todays Europe has come a new treaty of nations that work side by side as equal partners and where better than the mythical island of Cyprus to all come together, relax and enjoy everything this beautiful island has to offer. The best thing is that you can enjoy the Cyprus spectacular for almost 300 days a year when the sun just never stops shining.

The British have been investing in Cyprus property for a number of years now leading to investors making huge gains due to a steady rise in property prices. We are now seeing other Northern European tourists looking towards Cyprus for excellent property investments and who can blame them. Looking further afield, even Middle Eastern Property investors are beginning to notice Cyprus and all this when Property Investments have taken a dive in the larger European nations.

The great thing about the development of Cyprus in these times is that the environment is always respected. There is also a very strict code of conduct within the Urbanization planning rules and green areas are on top of their list of priorities. I believe in Cyprus for this very reason as I now it will always be successful as you can see through further articles on the Cyprus Informer Blog.

One Comment to “Cyprus Property Investments - Will the Euro boost prices?”

I too have read in different articles that Cyprus is the #1 place where British people refer as the place to live post retirement. There is huge scope in ‘buy to let’ homes and over the property market in Cyprus is witnessing growth. Great news indeed.
