It may seem as if the resort is far removed from civilization, but in fact, it’s just a 15 minute trip to the Denpasar airport. And the flower bedecked town of Nusa Dua is just a walk away for guests who want to do some shopping, dining or clubbing.

The hotel also has some well-known cures for stress on hand. Massage Therapists offer spa treatments and therapies in the privacy of the guests own suite. And a golf course beckons, located between the resort and the sea.

For dining, The Terrace restaurant makes the most of its beautiful setting and sea views. It offers Thai, Indonesian and Continental cuisine. There is an Italian Restaurant, and a casual outdoor dining option. The Beach Club provides breakfast, snacks and barbeques.

A coral reef provides a safe lagoon for swimming and water sports. The white sand beach is considered Bali’s best.

The Beach Club is at the Bali Golf and Country Club. The club has nine pavilions with sun loungers. Food and shower facilities are available.

Massage therapy is an important part of total wellness. The therapists at Amanusa combine traditional Balinese and Swedish massage with acupressure. Reiki massage and reflexology are available, as are beauty treatments. You can have your massage in your suite, at the Spa or at one of the Beach Club bale’. Yum.

Bali is paradise for golfers. The three courses are totally unique. All are complementary for Amanusa guests. The first is the Bali Golf and Country Club and is right next to the resort in a scenic, seaside setting. It was designed by Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright, is 18 holes and named on of Asia’s top five courses. The second is the Nirwana Bali Golf Club. This course is at the Tabana Regency, on the west coast, about an hour’s drive from the resort. The course was designed by Greg Norman, and is famous for its visually dramatic setting. Golfers play through rice paddies, creeks, tropical forest, and gardens. The final course is about 1 hour away. The Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club is famous as one of the world’s most beautiful courses. The course was designed by Peter Thomson and Graham Wolveridge and is set in an extinct volcano.

The accommodations are thatched roof suites with four poster beds with mosquito netting. The luxurious baths have large sunken tubs surrounded by tropical foliage. Each suite has a flower laden outdoor shower. The private walled gardens are very romantic, and courtyard dining is offered. The terrace has a daybed with a canopy. Eight of the suites have a private pool.
